Coach J graduated from the University of Hawaii, where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. During his time at the University of Hawaii, Coach J was a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) where he lettered in Football and was named an All-WAC Academic scholar.
Strength and Conditioning has always been a part of Coach J’s life, having been a Division-1 athlete, and, he has continued his training since graduating from college. Coach J has been a Certified Personal Trainer for several years with accreditation by American Council on Exercise. Coach J is also certified in Fitness Nutrition, Weight Loss Management, Certified SPIN Instructor and First Aid/CPR & AED.
